Jenny attended the April CFFC networking event at Ash Green Primary School.
The Community Foundation For Calderdale events are always worth attending for Jenny, as they are all about connecting companies that care, with causes that matter, and this one was no exception. CFFC launched their summary report of Local Insights. It is packed full of data that we in Calderdale can be proud of, and demonstrates areas where there is still much to do.
The event was held at Ash Green primary School in Mixenden and had inspirational talks from the headteacher of the school, as well as the local vicar and church development officer. All focussed on the importance of community and pride in place, as well as what needs to be done to give children the best start in life and supporting families for the long term gain of all.
Jenny reconnected with some known locals, and made new connections too.
